In a lead up to the Dubai International Arabian Races the Gold Coas Turf Club was the setting for the media launch and promotion of the Australian Arabian Race Horse.

Anthony Mountney conducted a TV interview promoting this spectacular day of Arabian Racing.  Thank you to Cassie Saunders for bringing 3 of her Arabians to the race track along with jockeys who perform a great display for the photo shoot past the winning post.

The Media from local papers and television crew had been invited to take part in the launch of the Dubai International Arabian Races promoting the Australian Arabian Race Horse along with the Arabian Rainbow Competition for Austalian Schools, which is an exciting community art project for primary schools in association with Dubai Internatioal Arabian Races at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

Inspired by the Arabian Gulf's first public art project launched in Dubai in 2004, the competition allows pupils to get creative and paint a life-sized sculpture of a horse using the colours of the rainbow. It also provides teachers with an opportunity to engage the pupils in discussions covering a wide range of key subjects including culture, language, geography and sport.

The finished painted horses were on display at the Dubai International Arabian Races at the Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday 6th December, and teachers, pupils and their families were invited to attend the judging and presentations and enjoy a day of Arabian and Thoroughbred racing.

The winning school received a cash prize of $3,000.00, $2,000.00 for second place and $1,500.00 for third place. Donated by Duabi International Arabian Races.
